Apr. 10th, 2006 10:05 pmZero walks down the long, skylit hallway. Her geta click on the wood flooring as she fumbles, cursing, for the key she knows is somewhere in her sleeve. She finds it just as she gets to the rather imposing double-doors. They're wood, but so old they may as well be stone, and a stark contrast to the rest of the modern-looking, bamboo-and-glass hall. Zero is outlined in chiarascuro from the brilliant white light coming through the windows on one side. The light throws the strange carvings on the door into relief and plays tricks on the eyes.
Don't look out the windows, however impressive the view may seem to be. What they say about the abyss is all true and it'll come back to haunt you.
Zero doesn't look out the windows. She places a key - well, broadly a key, the shape of it never opened any lock in *this* set of dimensions - flat on the doors, which spring open.
"So. Here we go again."
